Modernism Week’s signature February Event is an annual celebration of mid-century modern design, architecture, art, fashion, and culture. This exciting “festival” takes place in February in the Palm Springs and Palm Desert area. It features more than 100 events including the Modernism Show, home tours, films, lectures, double decker bus tours, parties, walking and bike tours, a pre-fab showcase, vintage fashion, live music events and more. Palm Desert-based events will be held at the Sandpiper and Marrakesh communities, as well as College of the Desert and the Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert.

Sunday Polo games are offered January 4th – March 29, 2015 and are open to the general public. There are two games every Sunday with the first game beginning at 12:00 pm and the featured match scheduled to start at 2:00 pm. General admission seating is FREE (parking charge) and includes bleacher seats and field-side tailgate spots on the east side of the field. Tables are available for groups with a reservation. Cabanas & VIP areas are also available for an additional charge. Reservations for these areas are recommended. Food and beverage service is available on site.

Remember when cars were cool? They still are–especially during El Paseo Cruise Night. Cars start arriving around 3:15pm at the upper level of parking structure behind The Gardens on El Paseo. Visitors are welcome to view the cars and meet the owners. After a few welcoming remarks, cruisers hit El Paseo at 4:30pm, so grab a chair and enjoy the show!

The renowned El Paseo Art Walk, a long-standing tradition on El Paseo, is held on the First Friday of every month, November through May, as part of the Palm Desert “First Weekend” city-wide promotion. Join the Art Galleries along with El Paseo Cruise Night and Extended Shopping Hours in participating shops, on the First Friday of every month from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be exhibit openings, artist receptions and more! Enjoy seeing everything there is to see, from the Palm Desert Art Museum in Pam Desert’s Free First Friday events, to each gallery and stops along the way, traveling in style on the El Paseo Courtesy Carts!
